Football clubs across 65 leagues in England and Wales have received funding from the Premier League to prepare for the resumption of football, as well as the safe return of supporters to stadiums where permitted.
Leek Town FC have been awarded £7,000 and Leek Town Ladies £1,000 from the Premier League’s Matchday Support Fund.
This will help them cover the costs of adjustments that need to be made to safely cater for the return of players and supporters to the stadium.
The Matchday Support Fund is being delivered by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund the grant-giving body that provides Premier League funding to support ground improvements for clubs in the professional, women’s and non-league games.
